Overheard while leaving the bookstore: "If they had had a copy, I totally would have bought it, just so I could be all, like, 'look at me, I own Atlas Shrugged.'"

Note to the teenage boy who said this: Owning the book is not as impressive as actually reading it. Also, I'm not really sure what kind of statement you expected owning that to make.
