Sometimes days themselves seem out of focus, hazy and foggy, refusing to allow the eyes to locate significance where they ought to, leading the brain to territories that, while interesting, aren't really the essential places for it to land. Today the regulars in the coffee shop - spending their long weekend working on theses and projects for clients rather than camping or attending a festival - are a bit adrift. Eyes are perpetually drawn to the window, staring at the world outside. Fingers take long breaks from typing. Occasionally two people suddenly realize they are staring at each other with glazed expressions and are startled back into reality.
