When we were children, we were told that if we ever got lost - in the mall, in a store, in the middle of Disneyland - we should stay in one place so that our parents could come back and find us. When we grew up, we learned to always keep moving. We learned that staying in one place too long was dangerous, that stopping to consult a map would invite attacks. We learned that admitting to being lost was for children. We learned that no one was coming back for us. But somewhere in all the running, all the moving, all the new towns and countries, we lost each other. One day we looked around and realized that we were alone. And then we wanted to stand still, to find a place and stay there until we were found by the ones we love so life could make sense again.
